Frequently Asked Questions

How many events/weddings do you host per day?
Once you have completed the booking form and paid the deposit, the hall and time will be reserved for you. For a wedding this will normally be from Friday afternoon until Sunday evening.

Do I still need a wedding planner?
That’s entirely up to you. A wedding planner will take some of the stress out of the process, come up with great ideas you may not have thought of and make your day go smoothly. However, plenty of people manage perfectly well on their own.

I have not set a date for my event – can I still book you?
No, I am afraid we do need a date(s).

Can I use my own suppliers, caterers etc?
Yes – there is no obligation to use local suppliers. If you have already booked a supplier or have a family member who would like to contribute to the wedding with a service or skill then simply give us the details.

How do I book?
Please use the BOOKINGS/CONTACT page and fill in the form. The Hirer is required to pay a deposit of 25% of the booking charge (minimum £50) when making the booking and must settle the invoice for the balance not less than 30 days before the event.

Do you have a bar?
Yes, we have a fully licensed bar in a separate bar room with a serving hatch to the Club Room. However, you need to bring your own drink and glasses. The bar room is equipped with a counter, refrigerators and sink.

What is the cost of hiring the venue?
Please see our CHARGES page under BOOKINGS/CONTACT.

What does the hire fee include?
Use of the areas of the village hall and other equipment you select on the CHARGES page, for the times shown. For weddings, this will be the entire building, kitchen and equipment for 48 hours. All bookings include the use of tables, chairs, heating and lighting.

What other costs are involved?
The CHARGES page lists additional costs, such as for use of the kitchen, hire of place settings etc.

From what time do we have access?
Access time is from 0900 for a full day hire and from 1800 for an evening hire.

What time does the venue close?
Because there are village houses close to the hall, we ask that all music is only played inside the hall and stops at midnight.

Do you provide table linen?

Do you have Wi-Fi?
Yes and it is free.
