POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

A facinating evening hosted by one of the world’s most experienced shipwreck hunters. Local Lodsworth resident David Mearns give us a glimpse of his incredible career hunting some of the most famous shipwrecks and most recently discovering the Empire Windrush – which sank in the Mediterranean back in 1954. The vessel caught fire and sank with a cargo of the first large groups pf post-war West Indian immigrants bound for the United Kingdom.

The evening will be a discovery talk with plenty of oppertunity to ask questions and quiz the man himself on his career.

Tickets £20 including canapes and there will be a bar available throughout.

Lodsworth Bonfire Night – 2022

Lodsworth Bonfire Night is a family friendly evening. If you are after a November 5th without the crowds, the fighting for parking but with the all the usual fun & entertainments then bring the little ones along and enjoy a freshly cooked BBQ feast or a Hot Chocolate with marshmallows to warm the hands and tummy while you watch our fireworks display.

• We have our Tiki Bar set up selling local beer and more importantly warming mulled wine.
• A roaring BBQ selling organic burgers and sausages and of course veggie options
• A Guy Fawkes competition
• A bonfire where our winning guy will be burned
• A fireworks display
• A raffle

What more could you want – apart from the weather. However even that doesn’t stop the evening – as you can see below a nice early start too for the little ones……
